Training Course
Novice Lift Truck Operator
This course is ideal for the Company with its first Fork Lift Truck and no previous experience of Materials Handling Equipment. This course follows the guidelines suggested by ACOP published by the HSE and is approved by RTITB Training Board Standards Limited who are the accrediting body approved by the HSE. The course can also be adapted to suit your operational requirements.

Day 1
900-1000 Introduction Course Objectives and Basic Principles.
1015-1200 Rated Capacities, Film Discussion, Safety Code Booklet, Pre-Shift Check.
13.00-15.00 Introduction to the Truck, Starting Stopping.
1515-1700 Basic Driving Controls, Driving in Open Area, Starting Stopping, Turning simple Manoeuvres.
Day 2
900-1030 Pre-Shift Check, Hydraulics, Basic Driving Controls,
1045-1200 Basic driving controls simple courses and maneuvers.
1300-1500 Hydraulics controls, Mast controls and driving, Picking up empty pallets.
1515-1700 Picking up loads and manoeuvre around simple course.
Day 3
900-1000 PreShift check, picking up various loads.
1015-1200 Picking up various loads manoeuvres in confined areas.
1300-1500 Picking up various loads manoeuvres in confined areas
1515-1700 Stacking and De stacking at various heights
Day 4
900-1000 Pre Shift check, Stacking de stacking.
1015-1200 Stacking and de stacking various sizes and types of loads.
1300-1500 Stacking and de stacking various sizes and types of loads.
1515-1700 Loading and unloading vehicles, Theory tests 20 questions.
Day 5
900-1000 Pre-Shift check, Further Practice.
1015-1200 Further Practice vehicle Loading, working on inclines, ramps.
1300-1500 Test course preparation, Practical Test, Final Discussion and close.
